SAILING:
ANNOUNCEMENT:

Firstly, as some of you may have seen online, there has been a change with the Rear Commodore Sailing position. As most of you know, Steve recently stepped down from the role due to personal reasons.

It is very important to have someone in this position, and someone who has sailing knowledge too. So we are pleased to announce that Mick Trenchard has kindly stepped into the role, after it was agreed by the committee. Those of you who know Mick will know his passion for the club and sailing, and we would like to express our thanks to Mick for taking on the role. We look forward to working with him and seeing his plans evolving.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Steve for his hard work and support to the club and sailing. We are very grateful that he has offered to continue with his support to the club, it is much appreciated. Thank you Steve.

SAILING THIS COMING WEEKEND & WEEK:

As Sunday's forecast is heavy rain and also Father's Day, the aim is to go sailing on Sat (1.30 p.m.) instead of Sunday, either practising, racing or both. This means that although we'd like to say that everyone is welcome, regardless of their ability, the session this weekend will be open to confident sailors and improvers only, and not beginners.

Apologies, but another day will be scheduled in that will be suitable for beginners a.s.a.p.

Don’t forget the 'Wednesday Itch' each week!

It is at 5pm each Wednesday, and is the perfect opportunity for anyone wanting to go sailing, paddle boarding, windsurfing/foiling or kayaking with the safety boat out.

Please be there for 5pm to help get the boats and equipment ready and on the water.

Chas has kindly offered to operate the safety boat, but anyone else to help with it as well would be great. Why not make the most of the warm weather and bring a picnic down for after the sailing etc, or order a takeaway at the club.
