URGENT PLEA FOR MEMBERS

We have had to turn off the boiler that runs the hot water for the showers. Apologies but this was unavoidable. The boiler cannot be turned back on and so we urgently need to install a new system which can run the hot water and radiators. As well as this, the radiators need replacing as they are leaking and old.

As you know, we are a non-profit making organisation and our income just about covers our outlay each year. Richard, Luke and Ross will kindly donate their time free of charge to install it over a weekend, but obviously parts cost money. Due to this we are asking if members could kindly donate a minimum of £10 per adult to help pay for the parts.

Having flowing hot water affects nearly all of the members and not just sailors / windsurfers, I’m sure at some point through the year most of you or your families will use the hot water to shower off sand / sea water and so will benefit from the essential work needing to be carried out.

Please note: There is no hot water available in the changing rooms until we can generate the funds needed for it.

We do appreciate this is at the same time as asking for membership fees and we wouldn’t ask if we didn’t have to.
