Cellar Cooler

Help BRSC Replace Its Vital Cellar Cooling System.

Bognor Regis Sailing Club (BRSC) is a non-profit organisation at the heart of the local community. We work closely with schools and community groups to provide sailing opportunities for people who might not otherwise have access to the sport.
Our club is built on the generosity of volunteers who give their time, knowledge and expertise to support others, both within the club and across the wider community. This creates a strong sense of belonging, friendship and community spirit that we are incredibly proud of.
Like many community organisations, we carefully manage our finances to ensure our day-to-day operating costs are covered. While this has allowed us to remain financially stable, it means we have very limited funds available when unexpected expenses arise.
Unfortunately, our cellar cooling system has reached the end of its life. Years of exposure to the sea air and coastal weather conditions have taken their toll, and the unit can no longer function properly. Due to its age, repairs are no longer possible, meaning a complete replacement is required.
After obtaining several quotations, we have found that the average cost of a new system is around £3,500.
As a volunteer-run, non-profit club, this is a significant expense that we simply cannot afford from our existing budget. In the meantime, we are doing everything we can to keep our beer cellar cool—including covering barrels with bags of ice during warmer weather—but this is only a temporary solution and is not sustainable.
To help fund this essential replacement, we have launched a GoFundMe appeal. Thanks to the generosity of our members, we have already raised approximately £300, and we are incredibly grateful for their support.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help us reach our target and ensure the club can continue serving our members and the wider community for years to come.
Thank you for your support.
