In a fit of madness, your relentlessly daft barman, Ben, has decided he's going to go the extra mile for the club in 2019 - infact he's going an extra 6.21 miles - by taking part in the Bognor Prom 10k Run. Not that he'll be alone; the Amazing Ronnie Redstone will also be taking part and no-doubt smashing her previous running records whilst making sure Ben doesn't vomit, pass out or drown in the sea by accident along the way.

The aim of this insane endeavour is to help raise money for the changing rooms at BRSC. They need a significant overhaul to bring them up to current standards and to make them accessible for people of all age-ranges and physical abilities to help our club thrive.

Over the coming months we'll be asking ((nagging)) for sponsorship from our amazing members as Ben and Ronnie gear up for the appropriately named "Running For The Loos" fundraiser, but you don't just have to stick your hand in your pocket to help us - you can take part too!

If you're feeling up for a challenge, or are just feeling as mentally challenged as Ben, then you can take part in the Bognor Prom 10k as well. But hurry, time is running out. Simply sign up at www.bognorprom10k.org with the following details:

  • Club Name: Bognor Regis Sailing Club
  • Team Name: Running For The Loos - BRSC

Entry is £20 (approx) and places are running out fast so if you want to take part you'll need to hurry.

Any and all support will be much appreciated and if Ben finishes in one piece he promises to give you a great big, sweaty kiss as thanks once he collapses over the finish line.

If you need any more info, please contact Ben at the bar.
